Ciao!
I am an illustrator interested in publishing, particularly children's picture books and non-fiction (I have a soft spot for cards, maps, and guides)
Curiosity has taken me down some unexpected paths.
I studied Media, Culture and Society at the University of Hull (any Robinson Crusoe fans?) to start a career as a journalist, followed by Natural Sciences at the University of Bologna, to explore plant intelligence with Stefano Mancuso at LINV.
Eventually, after years of doing Yoga in India and Sri Lanka, I found my way to Illustration. I spent three years exploring traditional media (gouache fan) at the Scuola Romana dei Fumetti in Rome, learning from inspiring pros like Gianni Puri, Elenia Beretta, & Simone Rea.
If you'd like to wander into my world and creative process, come find me on Substack, where I write (and sketch) a newsletter, “It's Not Therapy (But Almost)” in English, Spanish, and Italian.
And if by any chance you happen to be on my island, come say hi (and draw, of course) at my creative illustration gatherings: Drawing Nights Fuerteventura
